Farm Fresh is in the 2900 block of Nameoki Road, and firefighters entered the property to investigate the cause of the smoke after notifying the property's owner of the fire. Firefighters told the Woodys it was not a legal weapon and needed to be extinguished. On October 14, the Granite City Fire Department and the Illinois State Fire Marshal's Office responded and began investigating the scene for evidence. The fire was extinguished when firefighters arrived, but only when the building was heavily smoke-filled and had fire damage.
